Press-on Application Tips

Applying press-on nails is easy, but here are a few tips for a flawless summer manicure:

Prep Your Nails

  • Start with clean, dry nails. Remove any old polish or nail art with acetone-free nail polish remover. Wash your hands with soap and water and gently dry them with a towel.

  • Gently push back your cuticles. You can use a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick for this. Don't cut your cuticles, as this can lead to infection.

  • Buff your nails lightly. This will help the press-on nails adhere better. Avoid over-buffing, which can thin your nails.

Apply the Press-On Nails

  • Find the right size press-on nail for each of your natural nails. Gently press each nail onto your finger to ensure a good fit.

  • Apply a thin layer of glue to the back of the press-on nail. Don't use too much glue, as it can seep out from the sides and make your manicure look messy.

  • Starting at the base of your nail, press the press-on nail firmly onto your natural nail. Hold it in place for 10-15 seconds to allow the glue to set.

  • Repeat for all of your nails.

Tips for a Flawless Finish

  • Once all of the press-on nails are in place, gently file the edges to smooth out any rough spots.

  • Apply a layer of top coat to your press-on nails for extra shine and protection. This will also help to prevent the nails from chipping or cracking.

  • Wash your hands carefully after applying your press-on nails. Avoid soaking your hands in water for extended periods of time, as this can loosen the glue.

Removing Press-On Nails

  • To remove your press-on nails, soak your hands in warm soapy water for 5-10 minutes. This will help to loosen the glue.

  • Gently pry the press-on nail off of your natural nail. Don't force it, as this can damage your natural nails.

  • Use a cotton swab dipped in acetone-free nail polish remover to remove any remaining glue.

  • Once the press-on nails are removed, apply cuticle oil to your nails and cuticles to moisturize them.

With these tips, you can enjoy your summer press-on nails for up to two weeks!
